Hello World

This is my first post on the blog, I thought it would be a fun addition to the site. This will hopefully be a place where I can show some behind the scenes action, share tufting info/tips and let you get to know me better. So to start off:

Hi! My name is Laycie, I live in Oregon and I LOVE to make stuff. I discovered rug making, or tufting, on YouTube when I was most likely watching crochet videos or something. I was drawn in immediately to the videos on Euphoric Supply’s channel and the rest is history. I have been tufting since the middle of August 2021. My intentions were to just have fun yet before I knew it I was selling rugs and had a business.

I’m kind of a hobby addict, I love to try new things and am always jumping around between them. Tufting is the first hobby that has fully just sucked me in and I have to say, hobby monogamy is pretty damn sweet. Tufting has changed my life.

Eight months ago I left my retail job after 13 years and knew I would go crazy if I didn’t immerse myself in a hobby I could do at home with my kiddos. It’s a bit more than a hobby now but I don’t think I could’ve made this happen if I tried. My first video on TikTok went viral and all the excitement from strangers just lit a fire under me and this really truly all happened because of my first little tufting time-lapse on TikTok. I wake up every day grateful, which sadly wasn’t the case just 9 months ago.

I started out making rugs of the things I knew and loved and have slowly been trying to come up with my own original designs which are available as made to order items here in my store. I use Procreate on my iPad and watch a lot of YouTube. As the blog goes on I hope to share so much with you guys. Thanks for stopping in, I appreciate you!
